What's Wrong with Baseball?
Alright, I understand this really isn't the best place to talk about this. But I'm seeing more and more people turn away from baseball because it's too boring. I mean, come on. Every single pitch is fun, at least to me. A baseball game is the best family experience. And you can use math in it and, unlike most sports, it actually works. Prospects are fun because they're so predictable and unpredictable at the same time. Football is a small sample with too many injuries, basketball is full of divas, hockey is so awesome but I rarely watch it, the other sports on TV are tennis and golf (ugh). Baseball is almost always RIGHT THERE. It's American. Like Ronald Reagan riding a velociraptor.

Re: What's Wrong with Baseball?
For the same reason that many Americans don't like watching soccer, whereas most of the rest of the world adores it. That group of American's don't really understand soccer. And it's a sport that's harder to enjoy if you don't understand. Basketball for example, is the opposite. Lots of constant action, where people who know nothing, can recognize goals and blocks. Like soccer, baseball isn't like that. The action might be fairly easy to understand, but it's slow. It's not fast paced, so if you don't know enough to get full enjoyment out of it... Well, it's not half so enjoyable.
So, that's my theory at least. People don't understand it enough to make up for the slowness of the game. You understand it, which is why each pitch is exciting. I understand soccer... Which is how I can love games, such as Argentina vs Netherlands semi-final game in the World Cup. It was 0-0 for 120 minutes, and went into a shootout. I saw someone complaining about it being a boring game... And I had no clue what the heck he was talking about. (The guy claims to be a soccer fan. I'm suspicious he's only played Striker/Forward though, and doesn't really fully enjoy the game from other perspectives.) The same principle applies to baseball here.
