Anime/Manga
...I kinda had a little gasp of horror when I realized that this forum didn't have this particular topic.
Anyways, if you watch anime, read mangas, talk about them here! But please, use common sense. Some animes and mangas are...not really appropriate, even for RAW's standards/rules.
Anyways, I've finally gotten around to beginning Clannad After Story, and I'm really liking it, although I kinda wonder...where are the story arcs? D: I can't really tell if I'm in one, but we'll see. (Sunohara needs a fake girlfriend to calm his sister down, and Sanae volunteered. Oh boy. )
One of my friends is dying for me to somehow watch or read Death Note, of which is supposed to be REALLY good. I might start it next week.
Anyone here have Sword Art Online? Really good, IMO, I loved the concept involved. I think Sachi or Klein might be my favorite character.
ERMAI. I loved Soul Eater, Death the Kid is my favorite, honestly. He's pretty hilarious, and his OCD-ness reminds me of one of my friends.
K-On! Never watched the anime, but have read the manga. Even then, I still liked it. Don't worry, I've heard the music, and it's pretty awesome. No Thank You, along with Don't Say Lazy might be my favorite songs. Azusa along with Mio are my favorites.
So, yeah. Wanna talk about any animes or any mangas? Just rant about them here, or, even suggest some!

I remember you talking about that anime, isn't it about street-fighting? I might look into that sometime.

Re: Anime/Manga
Not exactly....
Summary: The show revolves around a guy named Yuskue Urameshi. In the first episode, he dies. He gets brought back to life, becomes a Spirit Detective, goes on various missions and stuff, fights demons, eventually getting other people to help in the missions.
It goes into more detail, but that's the basic bit. The Genkai's Tournament arc, the 4 Saint beasts Arc, and the Dark Tournament Arc are the best, especially the dark tournament, one of the best delivered plots in any anime. I fully recommend it.

Darker Than Black is a pretty cool anime, a little dark, but cool.
Has some GREAT concepts, particularly the contractors, which you'll find out about.Â

Re: Anime/Manga
Trigun is also a good one, I would particularly recommend it to any first time Anime watchers, I feel it gives a pretty good feel of how Anime works, and is very enjoyable, great characters, and a great story.
Re: Anime/Manga
Never really been a fan of Anime apart from the two of the Miyazaki movies that I saw. But I might as well jump on the largest bandwagon of the internet.
So... any other stuff you guys recommend apart from Death Note and the stuff mentioned above?

Re: Anime/Manga
Hmmm.... Well, as I said, Trigun and Yu Yu Hakusho would both be good starts for action Anime.
Digimon Tamers, and honestly ALL of Digimon is good, but I tried to get you into it before and you never did.
Fruits Basket, while it is technically a girl's Anime, it's REALLY funny. If you can get over some of the cheesy romance sections, it's a hilarious show.
All of those should be decent starts if you'd like to give them a try.

Re: Anime/Manga
Well I did get into it, despite the cheesiness of the first episode, but I just didn't find time to continue watching.
Or I was simply occupied with something else.

Re: Anime/Manga
If the cheesiness was too much for you, then just watch series 3, Digimon Tamers, it's easily the best Digimon series, and it's a different story from the first 2 series, so you shouldn't be too lost.
Make sure you watch the dub.

Re: Anime/Manga
I never said that the cheesiness was too much for me. It's just that the lines were so cheesy, they were hilarious.
"We're here to be cute. And... adorable."
The episode itself was watchable, although I've seen better pilot episodes.
But yeah, I'll go straight to series 3.

Re: Anime/Manga
